Odds to Win the 2007 Buick Open

Friday, June 29th, 2007

The 2007 Buick Open will be missing Tiger Woods this year as the world’s top golfer is taking the week off to be with his wife and new daughter. If you think that because Woods is not entered in the event that there would be no big favorite you would be wrong. Jim Furyk is actually quite a big favorite to win the Buick Open this week. He is listed at 4-1 at SBG Global and while that is not quite the 2-1 that would have been the case on Woods, it is not far off.

Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club in Grand Blanc, Michigan hosts the Buick Open this week. It is a relatively short course, 7,127 yards, par 72 which has large flat greens which means birdies will be fast and furious.
Warwick Hills was the ninth easiest course on the PGA Tour last year [...]

Buick Open: PGA Tour Odds and Lines

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

Take Charles Howell III (40-1), 1/6 unit: Where have you gone Thurston Howell the Third? After a huge start—five top-10s including a win in his first seven tournaments of 2007—he’s finished inside the top-25 once, missed two cuts and withdrew from the Memorial. He’s still in the top-5 in FedEx Cup. He finished T51 at the U.S. Open, took last week off, and should be ready to go. He’s only played the Buick Open once, back in 2003, and he finished T38 [...]

Chicago White Sox vs Tampa Bay Devil Rays 06-27-07

Tuesday, June 26th, 2007

White Sox (Buehrle) @ Devil Rays (Sonnanstine). The White Sox have bounced back from the Cross-town Classic sweep they suffered this past weekend, and picked up two solid wins in Tampa the last couple nights. Last night’s domination by John Garland will only look to be duplicated tonight by Buehrle as the Sox look to pull off their first three game road sweep of the season.

Andy Sonnanstine has a very impressive K/BB ratio of 21/3, but his ERA is a bit bloated and he’s given up an awful lot of hits and runs in limited starting duty. Thirty-one hits and 19 ER’s in 26 innings to be exact, and the fact that Chicago’s sticks have picked up some confidence the last two nights doesn’t bode well for the youngster [...]

Toronto Blue Jays vs Minnesota Twins 06-25-07

Sunday, June 24th, 2007

Blue Jays (Halladay) @ Twins (Slowey). Take the Toronto Blue Jays (Roy Halladay 8-2, 4.08 ERA) over the Minnesota Twins in Minnesota (Kevin Slowey 2-0, 4.43): The Twins’s bats have responded to the loss of Justin Morneau since a collision at home plate on Friday left him coughing up blood with a bruised lung. Joe Mauer, in particular, went 4-for-8 with six RBIs and two home runs over the weekend [...]

Chicago Cubs vs Texas Rangers 06-21-07

Wednesday, June 20th, 2007

Chi Cubs (Lilly) @ Rangers (Padilla). At 2:05pm our complimentary selection is on the Texas Rangers over the Chicago Cubs. Rangers outfielder Sammy Sosa reached a rare milestone Wednesday night when he cracked his 600th career home run off of the Cubs’ Jason Marquis.

A couple of years ago steroid allegations were swirling around the veteran outfielder before he stopped playing, but now all seems to be forgiven upon a successful return albeit with a new team. Perhaps all that players like Mark McGwire and Juan Gonzalez need to do to fix their reputations is come out of retirement and set more milestones? But other than Sosa’s remarkable comeback this year, not much else has gone right for Texas [...]

Baltimore Orioles vs San Diego Padres 06-21-07

Wednesday, June 20th, 2007

Orioles (Bedard) @ Padres (Wells). San Diego w/Wells over Baltimore Padres close out their series with the Orioles this afternoon behind David Wells, whose numbers a home have been dramatically better than on the road this season [...]

Tigers (Durbin) @ Nationals (Simontacchi). 1 Unit on Detroit Tigers -145 (action) Detroit is 12-2 against the money line in road games vs. terrible power teams - averaging 0.75 or less HR’s/game over the last 2 seasons, 20-6 against the money line in road games vs. an overused bullpen that pitches more than 3.2 innings per game over the last 2 seasons [...]
