Nobiz Like Shobiz is the second choice, at 8-1, behind the field, in this pool. After his sharp ’07 debut in the Holy Bull last weekend, he’s given his connections plenty of options on planning their way to Churchill. Trainer Barclay Tagg won the Kentucky Derby four years ago with the popular Funny Cide, certainly a different type of horse than the grand looking “Nobiz”.
Nobiz Like Shobiz’s only loss to date was to Scat Daddy in the Champagne, but it looks like the one turn mile is not what this colt wants. Has all the goods to be the standout of this class of 3-year-olds, and if he can continue on the current path, he will be the shortest favorite for the Kentucky Derby in some time. His odds won’t be as high as you’d like, but is one of the few that may be worth a stab despite a short price.
