Florida State will look to stay atop the ACC standings as they host Boston College Eagles on Saturday. The Seminoles have been winning because of their strong running attack that is averaging 205.2 yards per game. “It’s amazed me that we’ve been able to run the numbers we have,” coach Bobby Bowden said. “It’s amazed me. But I sure hope we keep it up because it’s probably a very big key on that offense, no doubt about it.” Last week the Seminoles rushed for 266 yards in a 41-27 win over Clemson. Jermaine Thomas led the Seminoles with 94 yards on 11 carries while Antone Smith rushed for 57 yards and two touchdowns. Florida State will get a real test on Saturday against a Boston College defense that is only allowing 101.8 yards per game on the ground.
