Kobe Bryant, according to a recent Los Angeles Lakers Blog was interviewed and asked what his statements are concerning a comment by Lakers Head Coach Phil Jackson about the greatest athlete he ever coached. According to Phil Jackson it was not Kobe Bryant nor Michael Jordan but Dennis Rodman. Back in the days that Phil Jackson was with the Chicago Bulls, he noted that he has never seen an extraordinary athlete like Dennis Rodman.

Kobe Bryant said “You first think of Jordan, obviously, but Dennis as an athlete, he was a freak of nature in terms of his size”

Dennis Rodman was well known for his lifestyle off the court, therefore overwhelming the fact that his asides from Michael Jordan have the biggest influence of how a game goes.

Let us all not forget that before joining the Chicago Bulls Dennis Rodman used to guard Michael Jordan when he was with the Detroit Pistons. Once he went to the Chicago Bulls and formed the best team to date in NBA History for winning 72 games out of an 82 game season, Dennis Rodman would be seen guarding Patrick Ewing and Shaquille O’Neal on an all game basis.

As far as anybody is concerned, Dennis Rodman should be inducted to the NBA Hall of Fame all because of his spectacular defensive prowess that is still one of the best in today’s standards.
