Now that we enter the crucial training period of both the fighters, who do we think would win and why?

David Diaz (34-1-1, 17 KO) otherwise known as “Dangerous” has a month advantage of training compared to the well known challenger in Manny Pacquiao. Although that advantage may not be the deciding factor in this fight for David Diaz. Having some doubts entering this fight with the concern he has dubbing the fight as “his most important fight in his career”.

The Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas “is the biggest fight of my life. Bigger than when I won the title. Even bigger than beating a legend like Morales” Said David Diaz

“I don’t feel like I have people’s respect yet but it’ll come,” said WBC lightweight champion David Diaz what to expect in his fight against Manny Pacquiao. “I’ve been overcoming odds for a long time. I wasn’t supposed to be a champion. I wasn’t supposed to beat Morales but I did. I have to keep proving people wrong.”

Despite defeating Eric Morales in a fight that ended “El Terrible’s” career, not causing any life threatening injuries though. David Diaz’s lackluster dispatch of Eric Morales was not that convincing. Although Eric Morales will forever be cemented as one of the greatest Mexican Fighters, by the time David Diaz got a chance to fight Eric Morales “El Terrible” was already a washed up fighter. Just another shadow of a former great desperate to keep his boxing career alive.

With all due respect to Eric Morales, he is possibly one of the most entertaining fighters to ever grace the canvass. Especially the war against Marco Antonio Barrera, Eric Morales won that. Judges at that fight were suffering from double vision and bias.

In the upcoming fight against Manny Pacquiao, David Diaz has very little room for error.

Fearless Prediction: Manny Pacquiao wins by KO in the 9th round.
