Odds to Win the 2006 Stanley Cup: Philadelphia Flyers Are the Favorite

After last season’s lockout, old time NHL hockey is back with new rules, a redrawn rink and lots of big names wearing new sweaters and Bodog Sportsbook has selected the Philadelphia Flyers as a 3/1 favorite to win the 2006 Stanley Cup.

Anytime you add a player of the caliber of Peter Forsberg to your squad it improves your chances to win, but the completely retooled Flyers have a great combination of youth, speed and veteran leadership to take them to the top. Meanwhile, the Canucks, Flames and Senators all look like solid contenders to bring the Cup back to Canada for the first time since 1993.

Bodog Sportsbook will be offering the most comprehensive wagering options on each game throughout the entire NHL season including: first period wagering on money lines and totals; spreads, money lines and totals for regulation time only; and spreads, money lines and totals on full games including overtime or shootouts.

The Ottawa Senators are listed with the second best odds to win the 2006 Stanley Cup Championship at 5/1 odds while the Detroit Red Wings and Calgary Flames follow with 7/1 and 8/1 odds, respectively.
